New Eco Training Centre being built in the West Midlands Posted by Mike Harding 2012 Mar

Energy Trust, a leading national training provider is converting a brand new 2,400sqft Eco training Centre in the West Midlands town of Tamworth.

The new centre is aimed at linking in with the forthcoming Green Deal set to be launched in October 2012 and will train in the new roles associated with the launch to become Green Deal Advisors, Installers and Providers in the Midlands.

The Tamworth Eco Training Centre is set to be completed by April 2012 and will be fully sustainable to include Solar PV, Solar Thermal Hot Water, Rain water harvesting, heat pump, under-floor heating and low energy lighting systems.

Included in the centre will be a large showroom in which local companies have been invited to display their sustainable products for domestic and commercial use.

Managing director, Peter Elton comments ‘We are delighted to be involved in creating this centre in the West Midlands. Our vision statement at Energy Trust is to assist in helping the country to become sustainable and we feel we have made a step to encourage this here and amongst local people and businesses.

The official launch date will be announced in the next few weeks.
