SBEM stands for Simplified Building Energy Model, a method developed where complex buildings can be assessed for energy ratings.

VE-SBEM is suitable for use across the whole of the UK – England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland – allowing users
to undertake Part L2A, Section 6 and Part F compliance calculations as well as create EPCs for non-dwellings via SBEM.

The 3D graphical interface of VE-SBEM offers remarkable time and cost efficiencies:

  • No laborious re-input of geometry (bring in your model direct from Google SketchUp™ or Autodesk® Revit®)
  • No need to re-learn a new 3D modelling tool
  • Visual model increases transparency and allows quick accuracy checks
  • Data can be assigned to multiple grouped rooms

VE-SBEM also paves the way for easy progression from Level 3 through to Level 5.
