Accuracy, Use and Feedback

We are committed to respecting the privacy of users entering this site and we recognise the importance of the responsible use of information collected on this site. We will do our best to maintain the accuracy of the personal information you supply to us. You have the right to access and correct your personal information at any time and if you wish to do so please contact us at info@energy-trust.co.uk. We will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. On our website we may provide space for your comments and/or provide a short survey for you to complete. This is used only to help us refine the content and relevance of our website. It is not re-used or re-applied for any other purpose.

We may track your visit to our site by giving you a cookie when you enter. Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Course Bookings & Cancellations

Full Paying:

Deposits for courses are non refundable but can be transferred to another course. However, courses transferred to a future course date within 14 days of the original course date are to be paid in full.

Courses purchased using finance payment methods would be eligible for a 14 day ‘Cooling Off’ period which begins from the agreed date of booking and expires after 14 days, or as soon as any part of the booking is redeemed e.g. attendance of any training day or accessing the online student portal to begin online learning. When accessing the portal for the first time, you are reminded of these terms and agree to cease your ‘Cooling Off’ period by proceeding. If you do not provide at least 72 hours’ notice in writing prior to a booked training course of non-attendance, this will be considered a no-show and expire the cooling off period as if the course was attended.

Course Date Changes requested within 72 hours of a course start date are subject to an additional charge of £100 + VAT (Or £75 + VAT for the Retrofit Assessor Course).

Candidates must be 18+

HDSTC Funding:

This funding is eligible for candidates who reside and work in England. If you book one of our funded courses and are not eligible, you would be required to pay the full fee to continue with your training course (Identification proving this will be required).

Once you have booked your funded training course, please note, we will be unable to transfer your chosen course date due to limited availability and demand. We cannot amend the candidate name when utilising HDSTC Funding.

Course Description

Due to the fluid nature of training courses and our commitment to continuous improvement, Energy Trust reserve the right to change the course content and/or trainer, at any time, in line with market demands.

Course Dates and Venues

Energy Trust reserve the right to alter or cancel published dates and change venues without liability.
In the event of a cancellation where an alternative cannot be provided, monies received in respect of that course can be refunded in full.

Whilst every effort will be made to avoid resource changes, Energy Trust reserves the right to amend or replace any pre-named trainer scheduled to deliver a specific course.

Joining Instructions

On receipt of written confirmation we will issue complete joining instructions detailing your participation on the training event. This includes a pre course materials, venue details and course timings.

Time Scales for Completion

Full Paying Delegates have 12 months to complete the course from the date of attendance. If you do not complete the course within the 12 month time limit, additional charges apply to extend the time limit. Refresher courses are also available, at a price of £95 + VAT per day.

HDSTC Funding Delegates have the following timeframes to complete their chosen courses:

Introduction to Domestic Retrofit: 4 Weeks (Self Paced)

Domestic Energy Assessor & Retrofit Assessor Package: 6 Weeks from sitting the DEA Course (Online | Remote Portfolio | Self Paced)

Retrofit Assessor (Standalone): 4 Weeks (Self Paced)

Level 3 Award in Traditional & Older Buildings: 4 Weeks (Online and Self Paced)

Retrofit Coordinator: Must be completed before 17th May 2024 (Self Paced)

In the event you do not complete your course within the agreed timeframes, but wish to complete the course at a future point, you would be charged full price for the course (The remaining 60%).

Re-Issue of post course reference materials

New sets of printed course materials can be issued at a charge of £75 + VAT + Postage.
If you have opted to complete a Distance Learning Course, we send through the course materials electronically. If you would prefer a hard copy of the course materials, this can be arranged at a cost. The fee’s for the hard back folders range from £75 + VAT + Postage.

The following charges apply if you cancel:

Fees

All fees online are current at the time of going online. However, we reserve the right to change them. Website discounts apply to specific training courses. Any special promotions are subject to change on a month by month basis.

The course fee for our DOCEA Course is due for payment two weeks prior to your course start date.

DBS (Basic Disclosure)

Please note, for any qualifications where you will be working in peoples homes then a Basic Disclosure from DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) will be required by your chosen accreditation scheme.

Portfolio requirements

Where a candidate is required to produce a portfolio of evidence this shall be produced using our online e-Portfolio system. Portfolio evidence submissions will be assessed and feedback provided within 5-7 working days from the date of submission.

e-Portfolio accounts will remain securely accessible for 3 years and then will be deactivated.
